3.0 LITRE V6 280 kW SUPERCHARGED
The powerful, refined F-TYPE COUPE S engine is one of Jaguar’s new generation of supercharged engines. It generates an extremely high specific power output of 93.41 kW per litre. The compact supercharger’s sophisticated boost control and secondary throttle valve ensure that the torque curve rises steeply over a broad range of engine speeds. A water-cooled intercooler reduces the temperature of the air intake for greater power and efficiency, while an innovative system of counter-rotating front and rear balancer weights aids smoothness and refinement. It also features a fast-reacting Intelligent Stop/Start system that can improve fuel economy by up to 5 percent, by switching off the engine when the vehicle comes to a standstill.

Switchable Active Sports Exhaust
This system features active valves which, when open, allow the exhaust gases to exit via a more direct route through the rear silencer, by-passing a number of the silencer baffle-plates to produce a richer, more exhilarating noise. The system also allows the driver to use a button on the centre console, (available as an option), to manually activate the bypass valves.
Limited Slip Differential
A mechanical limited slip differential is fitted as standard to the F-TYPE S. This mechanical system allows the car to make best use of the available traction and offers the driver the opportunity to explore the car’s superb balance.
Sports Suspension with Adaptive Dynamics
This system features a series of sensors placed about the car which measure vertical body movement, body roll and pitch 100 times a second, and can individually adjust each damper to help maintain a constant and level attitude. The system also measures steering input 500 times a second and is therefore able to predict the body’s roll rate, and adjust the corresponding dampers to reduce the rate of body roll.

Derived from motorsport technology, the optional Carbon Ceramic Braking system is available on the F-TYPE S (Coupé and Convertible), F-TYPE V8 S Convertible and the F-TYPE R Coupé. It is the most powerfully performing braking system ever fitted to a Jaguar road car.
Meridian Sound System 380W and Meridian Surround Sound System 770W
Designed specifically for F-TYPE in conjunction with British audio experts Meridian, these two systems feature advanced technology such as Digital Signal Processor (DSP) software to optimise every element of the system and use Meridian Cabin Correction’s advanced algorithm to ensure a consistent audio experience. The Meridian Sound System offers superb audio reproduction through 10 speakers – including 2 sub woofers, 380W and 12 channels. The Meridian Surround Sound System features 12 speakers and 770W.
