According to Allama Iqbal, diminution of the art is actually controlled by collective diminution of the nation. The nation remains performing leadership until and unless Allah wants them to achieve some goals of life; till then the Art lives. It is better to say “marks of diminution of the nation appear via diminution of the art”. Allama further illustrates that whenever nation goes on the track of diminution they start loving shells, outer parts, appearances, and ignore actual meaning, inner parts. This is called diminution of the art. He gave an example in this context. The diminution nations never extract essence of the art while they portrait the fruits and enjoy its attractive color.
